LES Yearbook Presents: The Season We Share – Masks, Collage & Love Letters to the LES

Join us for a day of creativity and storytelling as we celebrate the Lower East Side through hands-on art activities and community memory-sharing. Design collage masks, write love letters to the LES, capture your creations in our photo booth, and craft a yearbook page to be included in the Lower East Side Yearbook—a multimedia archival project created in collaboration with residents of the Lower East Side and public housing. This living archive honors the legacy of our neighborhood through photography, inter-generational conversations, and shared memory. Please bring photos from your personal collection—especially from holidays or community events—to be photo scanned on-site and considered for inclusion in the Yearbook. Flyers, posters, and other ephemera are also welcome!
Accessibility
Main Gallery is on the second floor of the building and is accessible via the Garden gate and an elevator. To access the elevator, visitors should request access with patron services at the front desk and they will assist in navigating around the exterior of the building to the Garden entrance. The Garden entrance is located on Willet Street via a 200-foot pathway with a small slope to the Garden entrance.
